In my current role as a Sales Rep, I get a LOT of windshield time. Sometimes I use the silence to prepare for a presentation, other times, I jam out to my favorite tunes and dance at redlights..seriously.. who can resist the macarena?
On the flip side, one of my favorite things to do while on autopilot is listen to audiobooks. I have learned a wealth of information from personal development kings like Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn, but I ran across a gem last year that surprisingly changed my life.
With an unbelievably cheesy book title, Peter Voogt hit the nail on the head when he wrote "6 months to 6 figures."
Milennials NEED this book, whether they want to excel at their job, or run their own business. It has some great info, I'd be willing to say it might even be the ultimate personal development book.
Here's the golden nugget that shifted my world "Every day, you should ask yourself 3 questions: 1. What am I grateful for today? 2. What am I excited about today? 3. What will I do today, no matter what?" Talk about a productivity boost!
After reading these, you're probably thinking...how could that possibly change your life? It seems so simple. How about this? I'll save you the trouble of rambling on about my own experiences, and say JUST TRY IT! Write the questions down in a notebook, and when you wake up in the morning answer them. One full week, just do it, you can thank me later!
